Sr. Francesca Oldham

Sister Fran was on staff at Immaculate Conception for 5 years. She was an educator
for 44 years, teaching at I.C. 1959-62 and 1978-79.

goes out to Ginny and Al Smith. The Smiths chaired the Ice Cream Social Committee for 20 years. John and Connie Fosdick have agreed to take over in 2005. 

Faith and Father Jim
SUMMER ADULT EDUCATION Opportunity; Fr. Jim Brokman of Mt. Mercy College is presenting a summer series of adult education sessions entitled, “From Genesis to Revelation:  The Faith and Fr. Jim.”  These conferences take place on Tuesday nights, 7:00 – 8:45 p.m., during the months of June and July in Scotus Hall. The content of the series concerns the drama of salvation set forth in the Bible. 


 

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - June 22-24

Theme:  “Join God’s Team.” 

More than 60 children and 28 "coaches" attended with the activities all based on the Olympic Games. Students were divided into four teams; Team Track and Field, Team Discus, Team Soccer, and Team Diving and Swimming. Each evening teams rotated to all four activity centers; snack, craft, music and story. 

CRAFTS: Students made "God's Team" felt banners, Foam Children Mosaic Crosses, and God' Love is Awesome Hot Air Balloons

MUSIC:
Songs learned were: Teamwork,

STORY:
After hearing the story of God's Team Helps Paul
these "players and coaches" took a time out for a team picture.

Jesus Loves the Little Children, and If You're Happy and You Know It

On Wednesday "players" put together a 5 piece puzzle with each piece representing a ring from the Olympic flag. The completed puzzle contained the message from the Book of Psalms,"Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us. We are his people. He loves each of us."

1st Communion

THE CHILDREN EACH BAKED BREAD WITH THEIR FAMILY, AND THE
 EVENING WAS DEVOTED TO PREPARATION FOR FIRST EUCHARIST

 



Middle School Game Show Night- January 28

Approximately 150 students from All Saints, St. Matthews, and Immaculate Conception/St. Wenceslaus participated in this year's game, Scriptionary. A special thank you goes out to the parents, catechists, Board of Education members, and high school students for their help and to Pat Mooney and Coca-Cola Bottling for the pop.
